Festive Three Hares... Original acrylic painting on canvas, with gold foil

This piece is currently on show at Artysan, Stow on the Wold...if you would like to enquire further about this painting, you can contact Don at http://www.artysancotswolds.co.uk/

The Three Hares is such an old old image, dating back to ancient China, as paintings were found in 6th Century temples.  They are said to represent rebirth and its eternal journey...  I do think they must be getting tired by now :)

In the UK you can find them hiding out in Devonshire churches (Tinners Rabbits)  and can be seen in architectural wood carving, stone carving, window tracery and stained glass.

This representation is painted in warm purples, pinks and blues, and has lots of festive gold leaf which shines and dances about the hares...tickling their paws and supporting their cause to keep the magic alive!

Festive Three Hares is  100/100cm, ready to hang.

Signed and kitted out with it's certificate of authenticity.

Any questions please feel free to message me, many thanks Araminta x
